Welcome to Berry Lane Hair. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our salon services, website, and any related services we provide. By booking an appointment, using our services, or visiting our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Berry Lane Hair's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Service Eligibility
Age Requirements
- We provide services to clients of primary school age and above
- Children under primary school age are not eligible for our hair services
- Clients under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for all appointments
- Parental consent is required for all services provided to clients under 18 years of age
Health and Safety
- Clients must disclose any allergies, medical conditions, or medications that may affect hair services
- We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe it may compromise client safety
- Clients with scalp conditions or recent chemical treatments must inform us during booking
3. Booking and Appointments
Booking Requirements
- All appointments must be booked in advance
- A valid phone number and email address are required for booking confirmation
- Current hair photos and inspiration images are required for colour services
- Booking deposits may be required for certain services
Consultation Process
- All new clients and major colour changes require a consultation
- Consultations may be conducted at the time of service or as a separate appointment
- We reserve the right to recommend alternative services based on hair condition and desired outcome
Arrival and Punctuality
- Please arrive on time for your appointment
- Late arrivals may result in shortened service time or rescheduling
- If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment
4. Service Delivery
Professional Standards
- All services are performed by qualified and experienced stylists
- We use professional-grade products and follow industry best practices
- Service results may vary based on individual hair type, condition, and history
Service Modifications
- We reserve the right to modify or refuse services if they may damage your hair
- Alternative solutions will be discussed if your desired service cannot be safely achieved
- Final service decisions rest with the performing stylist for safety reasons
Multiple Appointments
- Some colour transformations may require multiple appointments to achieve safely
- Additional appointments and associated costs will be discussed during consultation
- We prioritise hair health over achieving dramatic changes in a single session
5. Payment Terms
Payment Methods
- We accept cash, card, and flexible payment options
- Payment is due at the time of service unless alternative arrangements have been made
- Gift vouchers are available and must be redeemed within 12 months
Pricing
- All prices are displayed in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable
- Prices are subject to change without notice
- Final pricing will be confirmed before service commencement
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Cancellation Notice Requirements
- More than 24 Hours Notice: Deposit may be transferred to your next appointment
- Less than 24 Hours Notice: Deposit will be forfeited and cannot be transferred
- No Show: Deposit will be forfeited and cannot be transferred
Rescheduling
- Appointments may be rescheduled without penalty with at least 24 hours' notice
- Same-day rescheduling requests will be accommodated when possible but may incur fees
- Multiple rescheduling requests may require a booking deposit for future appointments
Booking Deposits
- Deposits may be required for:
- First-time clients
- Bookings made online
- Appointments over 2 hours duration
- Clients with previous late cancellations or no-shows
- Peak period appointments (weekends, holidays)
- Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to future appointments with proper notice
Emergency Circumstances
We understand that genuine emergencies occur. In cases of:
- Medical emergencies
- Family emergencies
- Severe weather conditions
- Transport disruptions
Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation. We will work with you to find a fair solution.
Group Bookings
- Group bookings (3+ people) require 72 hours' notice for any changes
- Partial group cancellations may result in price adjustments for remaining clients
- Full group cancellations may incur additional fees depending on notice period
How to Cancel or Reschedule

- In Person: Visit the salon during operating hours
- Online: Use your booking confirmation link if available
Late Arrival Policy
- Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled
- Services may be shortened to accommodate the next client
- Full charges may still apply even if service time is reduced
- Repeated late arrivals may require booking deposits for future appointments
Stylist Availability
- If your preferred stylist becomes unavailable, we will offer:
- Rescheduling with the same stylist at no charge
- Alternative stylist appointment (with your approval)
- Full refund of any deposits paid
Salon Closures
- In the event of unexpected salon closure (illness, emergency, etc.), all affected clients will be contacted immediately
- Alternative appointments will be offered at the earliest availability
- No cancellation fees will apply for salon-initiated cancellations
Repeat Offences
Clients with a pattern of late cancellations or no-shows may be required to:
- Pay booking deposits for all future appointments
- Provide credit card details to secure bookings
- Book appointments on a shorter-term basis
We reserve the right to refuse future bookings for clients who repeatedly cancel without adequate notice.
7. Client Responsibilities
Honesty and Disclosure
- Provide accurate information about hair history, previous treatments, and allergies
- Inform us of any changes to your hair between booking and appointment
- Disclose any medications or health conditions that may affect hair services
Aftercare
- Follow all aftercare instructions provided by your stylist
- Use recommended products to maintain your service results
- Contact us immediately if you experience any adverse reactions
Behaviour and Conduct
- Treat all staff and other clients with respect and courtesy
- Maintain appropriate behaviour within the salon environment
- Follow all salon policies and procedures
8. Limitation of Liability
Service Results
- While we strive for excellent results, individual outcomes may vary
- We are not liable for results that differ from client expectations if proper consultation was conducted
- Our liability is limited to providing complimentary adjustments as outlined in our Refund Policy
Personal Property
- Berry Lane Hair is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items
- Clients are responsible for securing their valuables during their visit
- We recommend leaving valuable items at home or in a secure location
Health and Safety
- Clients use our services at their own risk
- We are not liable for allergic reactions if allergies were not disclosed
- Immediate medical attention should be sought for any adverse reactions
9. Intellectual Property
Salon Content
- All content on our website, social media, and marketing materials is owned by Berry Lane Hair
- Unauthorised use of our content, images, or branding is prohibited
- Client photos may be used for marketing purposes unless specifically declined
Client Photos
- We may photograph your hair transformation for portfolio and marketing use
- You may decline to have photos taken or used for marketing purposes
- Photo usage rights will be discussed and agreed upon before any photography
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
11. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and in our salon. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
